I Knew Jesus is an epic 8-part biographical drama-doc series revealing the enigmatic figure of Jesus as never before: through the eyes of the men and women closest to Him. Family, friends, followers, and those whose lives cross with His in dramatic ways, create a 360 portrait of Jesus – the man and the Messiah – from multiple perspectives: Mary, John the Baptist, Judas Iscariot, Saint Peter, Pontius Pilate and Mary Magdalene. Together, their intimate struggles to understand the complex personality that transforms their lives – and the world – tell the complete, extraordinary story of Jesus in the New Testament, from before birth to after the Resurrection. With the intensity and tension of a modern drama, the series is firmly rooted in the Gospels and the best Biblical and historical scholarship, bringing these characters and their dramatic stories to life in a powerful and convincing way. Real flesh-and-blood humans caught up in the extraordinary
