"Rekhachithram," directed by Jofin T. Chacko, masterfully intertwines a compelling murder mystery with a heartfelt homage to Malayalam cinema's golden era. The film's innovative narrative revisits the making of the 1985 classic "Kathodu Kathoram," seamlessly blending past and present to craft an alternate history that feels both authentic and captivating. Asif Ali delivers a nuanced performance as Vivek Gopinath, a disgraced police officer seeking redemption, while Anaswara Rajan embodies the enigmatic Rekha with grace and depth. The meticulous recreation of the 1980s, enhanced by Mujeeb Majeed's evocative score and Appu Prabhakar's adept cinematography, immerses viewers in a nostalgic yet thrilling experience. "Rekhachithram" stands as a testament to the enduring allure of cinema, offering a narrative rich in suspense, emotion, and reverence for film history
