Rubem, a rideshare driver with no prospects, receives as inheritance the Pérola Motel, which he soon discovers is a dilapidated building. There, he meets Grace, a former employee who had stayed on living in one of the suites after the motel closed. Unable to sell the property and mired in debt, Grace and Rubem join forces to reopen the motel.
